Great North
Air Ambulance

The Brief

As one of the leading Air Ambulance charities in the North of England, I was humbled to be approached to revamp their existing branding. Keeping to a predominantly green palette and the use of an image of one of their state of the art helicopters, it was an open brief to really enhance their brand messaging and visuals.

The Solution

As the company is solely reliant on donations and grants, I really wanted to highlight the amazing work they do in the local communities they serve and really highlight the amazing work of the medical crews.

The logo I kept to a badge design as it leant itself to being used across all platforms. Using clean sans serifs fonts instead of serif fonts allows the logo to be read more easily. The helicopter icon was simplified as their old logo had too much detail it was difficult to see in smaller forms.

All of their new marketing collateral from their fundraising flyers, company profile brochure, social media templates were all created to really showcase the amazing work they do in the community and the amazing work that the medical teams do when called upon.

I created bespoke icons that are used from online to print to really simplify all areas of the charity, as well as sub brand logos for their charity work and donation subscriptions.

On the day of the brand presentation, not only did I present this to the marketing team but also to some of the medical teams and the founder of the charity. The new brand was an absolute hit them all and the head of marketing was so eager to launch, they ran with their new logo immediately sending it to get put onto the medical teams new uniforms.

This presentation to this day is still regarded as a major highlight of my career and I was humbled to be a part of it.
